How Upgrades are performed

In most of cases, if some specific change is required in the configuration of you your instance related the plugin Minyaa Workflow, each of its versions is able to introduce an UpgradeTask class who will take in charge these modifications.

The PluginUpgradeTask is based on a JIRA extension point managed by the Shared Access Layer library (SAL).

On plugin deployment, if a PluginUpgradeTask has never been executed, Universal Plugin Manager (UPM) will launch it. The required changes are done in background ...

How to process if some Upgrades fails.

In rare cases (the cause is not yet identified), some of these upgrades may encounter some issues and causes that some of yours Workflows are not correctly migrated with the new configuration expected by the new plugin version.

Such cases have been experimented by a part of our customer with a large number of Workflows and it has been decided to provide an alternative solution.

In order to allow them to replay these Upgrades, a dedicated REST APIs has been implemented. It allows to re-launch some if them on some of your Workflows.
